The Dementia Support Group will provide education and
support to those who are part of the management and care of an individual
facing Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Everyone is welcome to
come and share concerns and issues in an open forum discussion or just
listen to others who are going through this overwhelming disease process.
Meet with others whose family member is experiencing dementia or Alzheimer’s. This support group is led by Chaplain Carole and Max Schut, social worker, in partnership with Alzheimer’s & Dementia Services of Northern Indiana. Meets Thursdays.
For anyone seeking emotional, educational and social support
I facilitate a FREE monthly support group (not group therapy which is different) on the last Monday of every month from 6-7:15 pm for individuals and couples currently caring for someone with dementia or dementia-related issues. Typical diagnoses discussed are: Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Lewy Bodies, Huntington’s, or any other degenerative, chronic neurological condition that leads to memory and cognition complications. Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group is held every Tuesday from 10am-12pm, at the Alzheimer’s Care Resource Center in Lake Worth/West Palm Beach. Call 561-588-4545 for more information!
