IN-PERSON SUPPORT GROUPS (Invisible Disability Support Group of Greater Iowa City): share experiences and challenges, care, positive feedback, understanding and general support.
The caregiver support group is open to the public and provides information and a welcoming environment for discussing the challenges of being a caregiver in the community. Each session begins with a light meal and fellowship at 5:00 p.m. The meetings are topic focused with a guest speaker and include time for sharing in the group.
Meet with others whose family member is experiencing dementia or Alzheimer’s. This support group is led by Chaplain Carole and Max Schut, social worker, in partnership with Alzheimer’s & Dementia Services of Northern Indiana. Meets Thursdays.
